I am a South Korean ceramic artist with an R&D background, constantly experimenting to create my own unique glaze. Through this process, I discovered something fascinating—many of the elements in natural gemstones and ceramic glazes are quite similar

This led me to develop linear crystalline glaze, inspired by rutilated quartz. It forms through a precise balance of heat and time: after melting at 1300°C, the glaze is held at 1000°C, allowing tiny crystals to grow into clean, straight lines. Unlike most glazes, where crystals form randomly, these lines mirror the natural patterns found in rutilated quartz.

The key ingredient, rutile, is safe for the human body and has a unique ability to reflect light. In soft lighting, it gives off a gentle glow, while in bright light, it shimmers with an intense metallic shine.

This ceramic work is a blend of scientific discovery and artistic passion—created through deep curiosity and a love for beauty.
